My Big C journey (continued)

The doctor's response to my: “so what do we next?” was to quickly tell me about the theoretical procedures from here, going forward. I would need to meet with the ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) people, the Radiotherapy people and then the Oncology people…it was certainly going to be full on from here!!

All these appointments and what was going to happen, quite frankly were the least of my worries. I was more concerned as to how I would break the news to Bev, my wife and then Cameron, Laura and Sarah, my children and then to Chloe and Nick, Bev's children. I didn't want to shock them, but there's no easy way to tell them the news that I had.

When I told them, one at a time, there were all sorts of emotions…but after it all calmed down and I explained the challenge and what was going to happen over the next 3-6 months, it all fell into place and it was kind of “business as usual”. After all it was “my” challenge to deal with…with everybody's best wishes…

So…having got that out of the way…it was down to business and the appointments I had to attend..

More coming soon.

Keep well all… and remember…

“Make every day your best day ever…”
